As the calendar changes to February, we’re reminded that this is the month to celebrate love and affection. D’Vine Kailua Wine Bar offers a Valentine’s Day Sweethearts Special for $40 per person. Each guest receives two glasses of bubbly, a long-stemmed rose, choice of panini or small charcuterie, and cheesecake with dessert wine. Reservations required.
Give the home cook a night off when you order Big City Diner Kailua’s Valentine’s Prime Rib Family Pack to go (serves 4 or 5 people and is a deal at $169.99). There’s also a hearty Valentine’s Breakfast Family Pack ($74.99). Both are available Feb. 12-15 and pre-orders are a must. If you’re dining in, there are Valentine’s breakfast, brunch and dinner specials, Feb. 12-14.
California Pizza Kitchen brings back its Sweet Deal for Two package for take-out from February 10-14. The $40 prix fixe menu offers a choice of 1 appetizer, 1 heart-shaped pizza and 1 other entrée, plus 1 dessert. A selection of heart-shaped pizzas can be ordered a la carte, too.
Tempting prix fixe specials also are on the menu at Goen Dining + Bar. The 4-course Valentine’s Day Celebration Dinner, available for dine-in Feb. 13 and 14, offers a choice of whole roasted branzino, ribeye or lobster entree ($80-$105 per person). If you’re the stay-at-home type, opt for It Takes Two to Take Out, a 3-course special, available Feb. 14 only, featuring a 16oz ribeye and seared scallops ($120 for two).
Sweet Sentiments
For the sweetheart with a sweet tooth, Baskin-Robbins’ “Conversation Heart” ice cream cakes are pretty darn adorable. They are available in a choice of cake and ice cream flavors and include your customizable message (Be Mine!). Order at least a day in advance.
Whole Foods Kailua is stocked up on heart-shaped cookies! Iced cookies, vegan sugar cookies, bite-size vanilla and chocolate cookies in mason jars and more. Mix and match to make festive samplers for all of your valentines.
