Island Snow has been a local favorite for the Kailua community since its doors opened in 1979. Founded by Kailua-raised James Kodama with a dream of owning his own business, Island Snow was created as a fun gathering place for family and friends. For over 40 years, Island Snow has been spreading the Aloha spirit with its unique, premium-made local merchandise and serving up authentic Hawaiian shave ice to the community and visitors.
Kodama along with his sons Brockton and Adam continue to innovate and bring new offerings to Kailua. In fact, they’ve recently renovated their store at Kailua Beach Center, so make sure to check it out!
